We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to work in a unique, word class, state of art manufacturing plant.

The position reports directly to: Operations Director

The direct report of the position is: Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Controller, Maintenance Clerk, and Maintenance Workshop Officer.

1             ACCOUNTABILITY

Position in Operation: The Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager most important responsibility is to deliver plant reliability and enforce to keep it in the highest level, for that he need to build up, run and maintain a world class level preventive maintenance system.

In addition to that, the Maintenance Manager is a critical role in the organization that helps ensure the highest levels of production, quality, and efficiency through the creation and management of maintenance activities that support and enhance the production process.

The Maintenance Manager ensures qualification of maintenance staff members through training, mentoring, and coaching to maximize department contributions to the organization, heighten production, and minimize equipment/system down-time.

 

2             THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED TO THE POSITION

  • Serves as the champion for creating a departmental culture committed to achieving unfailing support for team members working to achieve operational excellence
  • Maintenance team management, development, motivation and leadership
  • Be the owner of and deliver plant reliability, manage all aspects of preventive maintenance programs to ensure plant reliability is continuously in a high level.
  • Provide the leadership and management to perform work in an orderly and proactive manner based on principles of reliable design and preventive/predictive maintenance practices
  • Develop, implement and continually improve maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrates full accountability of the facility maintenance function through the timely and effective use and management of programs such as CMMS, safety, corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, and employee development
  • Effectually utilizes systems and resources to create a proactive approach in managing maintenance programs
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures to achieve cost optimization
  • Continuously identifying needed repairs or additions/improvements to the facilities’ operating systems to increase productivity
  • Technical supervision of the operation of machinery and equipment to ensure the continuous operation
  • Manage and control all maintenance and repair part inventories.
  • Ensure that the optimum inventory levels are provided all time for smooth maintenance activity flow.
  • Manage the budget allocated and take recommended action where spending is not in line with the plan.
  • Manage and support unplanned failure-cause analysis
  • Coordinate and manage outside contractors as needed, ensuring cost-effective task completion and in compliance with contractor safety training regulations
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and rules

3             REQUIREMENTS

3.1          GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical Engineer degree is a must

3.2          REQUIRED EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ prior maintenance experience including significant management experience, preferably at a multinational company.
  • Extensive experience with a variety of equipment to include boilers, centrifuges, drying equipment, cooling towers, air compressors, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and electrical.
  • Experience with developing, implementing, executing, managing, updating preventive, predictive, reliability centered maintenance methodologies.
  • Significant demonstrated experience using and managing a CMMS as a tool for scheduling, planning, and down-time reduction.
  • Proven, direct experience with running world class Preventive Maintenance system at a company which is known for having good maintenance practices and achieved high reliability levels.
  • Adequate knowledge and experience of related techniques and tools (Gantt chart, critical path analysis, resource planning, preventive maintenance system knowledge)
  • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement and lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing.

3.3          REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced English language knowledge (verbal, written)
  • Maintenance Management System knowledge, experience of working with computer technology
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements in factory environmental
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and how are they deployed
  • Good computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook)
